Chuck Tyler, a vertical-transportation (VT) industry veteran with a career spanning more than 35 years, has been named director of operations and business development at Phoenix Modular Elevator, Inc., headquartered in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Prior to joining Phoenix, Tyler was director of operations, Courion Freight Elevator Systems, for Vantage Elevator Solutions. Previous experience includes head of construction and modernization at Boston-based Eagle Elevator Co. Inc. and various leadership positions at TK Elevator, including regional director of modernization operations, vice president of new installation (NI) operations and district NI manager for North Carolina, South Carolina, East Tennessee and North Georgia. He began his VT career as an installer with companies including Otis and Dover Elevator
