US$5 Million Funding Opportunity To Support Women in Apprenticeships, Nontraditional Occupations Announced

The U.S. Department of Labor announced up to $US5 million in funding for up to 14 grants available to organizations that attract and support women in gaining access to registered apprenticeship programs in industries in which they are underrepresented. Department of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and Women’s Bureau Director Wendy Chun-Hoon highlighted the Women in Apprenticeship and Nontraditional Occupations (WANTO) funding opportunity during an April 14 visit to NYC-based Nontraditional Employment for Women, a 2022 WANTO grant recipient. Applications are due by May 29.
