VDA Acquires Canada’s GUNN Consultants

East Hanover, New Jersey-headquartered VDA, Inc. announced on July 9 it has acquired Canada-based vertical-transportation (VT) consultancy GUNN Consultants. GUNN was founded in 1983 as an engineering consulting firm specializing in elevators, escalators, moving walks and other types of VT. It was the first elevator consulting firm in Western Canada. Eric Peterson is president and CEO of GUNN, headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, with offices in Calgary and Toronto. Industry leaders in their respective territories, VDA and GUNN have forged a partnership that expands each company’s market reach throughout North America and “provides clients with best-in-class service offerings without infringement of borders.” The companies believe that, combined, they have “the best people and technology in the industry,” benefitting from enhanced capabilities, market expansion and shared resources. GUNN Consultants will continue to operate under the leadership of Peterson.
