Wittur Releases Inaugural Sustainability Report

On June 6, Wittur Group announced the publication of its 2020-21 Sustainability Report, its first report highlighting the company’s sustainability strategy and commitment to sustainable growth, social responsibility and addressing environmental challenges. The report follows Global Reporting Initiative guidelines, with key targets based on the sustainable development goals of the United Nations to keep global warming to 1.5˚C, according to the Paris Agreement. Among the key 2030 targets, Wittur commits to reduce scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions; increase sourcing of renewable electricity; design sustainable, eco-friendly packages made entirely of recyclable materials; reduce waste; support development of local communities at all sites; eliminate workplace injuries; realize zero health and safety impacts of products; increase employees’ awareness of sustainability training; and replace traditional manufacturing processes with greener alternatives.
