Ziehl-Abegg Appoints Joachim Ley as CEO

Ziehl-Abegg has announced that Chief Operating Officer (COO) Joachim Ley, who has been with the company since 2021 and played an active role in shaping the company’s global growth, has been appointed as the new CEO of Ziehl-Abegg. Ley, who holds a degree in industrial engineering, has been active as the company’s COO since 2021. The experienced manager was also responsible for production, purchasing, central logistics and processes. After completing his studies, he took on various management positions in the operational area. Prior to joining Ziehl-Abegg, he was a member of the Board of Directors of a market-leading supplier to the aviation industry for many years. The previous chairman of the board and CEO, Dr. Marc Wucherer, has left the company. Current CFO Olaf Kanig is also making a change in career direction but will be available to Ziehl-Abegg as CFO until a new appointment is made on the Executive Board.
