Invertek Drives Ltd., a global leader in variable frequency drive (VFD) technology, marked the formal presentation of The King’s Award for Enterprise – International Trade 2025 at its headquarters in Welshpool, Powys, Wales, U.K. The award acknowledges Invertek’s 149% growth in overseas sales over six years, achieved despite global challenges including Brexit, the COVID-19 pandemic and supply chain disruptions. Today, exports represent 95% of total sales, reinforcing Invertek’s position as a leading innovator in energy-efficient motor control solutions. Since its acquisition by Sumitomo Heavy Industries Ltd. in 2019, Invertek has expanded its global footprint through wholly owned subsidiaries in the U.S., Spain, Germany and Poland, supported by a worldwide partner network. The company recently completed a major expansion of its U.K. production and distribution facility, increasing capacity to meet growing international demand.
