More than 500 vertical-transportation (VT) industry members and clients gathered on January 31 at Scandic Infra City in Stockholm, Sweden, for the biannual Nordic Lift Expo. Organized by Oxbridge Live Media, part of the Scandinavian Exhibition Group, in collaboration with the Swedish Association of Lifts and Escalators, the event provided VT industry players an opportunity to showcase innovations and network with visitors and colleagues face-to-face for the first time since 2018. Parallel to the exhibition, visitors attended seminars on topics including digitalization and recycling. Exhibitors included Global1Partners Ltd, GMV Sweden AB, Hydroware, Motala Hissar, Ziehl-Abegg and Åhmans i Åhus. Nordic Lift Expo (Nordiska Hissmässan) was organized in 2014, 2016 and 2018 by Swedish VT wholesaler Hissmekano. After that, Hissmekano approached Oxbridge Live Media to take over. Magnusson said that, although “Nordic” is in the name, it is still mainly a Swedish event that aspires to become more Nordic in the future. The next Nordic Lift Expo is planned in fall 2024.
