Experienced Technical Engineering Manager Joins UKLE

Phil Bond, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry as a test lift and escalator engineer and consultant, has joined UK Lift & Escalator Co. (UKLE), headquartered in Gateshead, U.K., as technical engineering manager. Prior to joining UKLE, Bond was a lift and escalator consultant engineer for nearly nine years with TÜD SÜD in Warrington. He spent nearly 17 years at Schindler as a quality control tester, worked as a technician at Demag Cranes & Components Corp. and began his career at British Coal as an electrical/mechanical/mining lead engineer. He holds an engineering degree from the University of Northampton. In his spare time, he volunteers as a coach and welfare officer with youth football clubs in Lancashire. “Phil brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team that will be very beneficial for both our team and our customers,” UKLE observed.
