INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL (ICC)

The International Code Council, a membership association dedicated to building safety and fire prevention, develops the codes used to construct residential and commercial buildings, including homes and schools. Most U.S. cities, counties and states that adopt codes choose the International Codes developed by the International Code Council.

Standing Committees: Board for International Professional Standards (BIPS), International Code Correlation Committee (CCC), Industry Advisory Committee (IAC), Education Committee (EC), International Building Code Council (IBCC), International Fire Code Council (IFCC)

Responsibilities:

The International Code Council offers many services, including: Code Commentaries, Contract and Consulting Services, Contractor Licensing, Education and Training, Plan Review, Professional Certification and Technical Services.
