KONE announced on January 28 it received an order to provide 21 passenger elevators for Aga Hall Estate in Mumbai, India, which consists of 45- and 56-story towers containing 349 luxury residences. Slated for completion in 2027, Aga Hall Estate will be served by 19 MiniSpaceTM and two MonoSpace® energy-efficient elevators with the KONE Destination Control System. Part of a broader trend in the city center where limited space is driving construction of taller buildings, Aga Hall Estate is being developed by Prince Aly Khan Hospital Charitable Trust. The complex overlooks the Arabian Sea, and will include a new, purpose-built health facility and a school. By 2030, Mumbai is projected to have hundreds of buildings rising above 40 stories, and Aga Hall Estate is a “prime example of the city’s ability to adapt and modernize, currently redefining Mumbai’s architectural landscape in an innovative way,” KONE observed.
