Southern Elevator & Electric Supply (SEES), Inc. recently ventured beyond South Florida with the grand opening of a new location in Irving, Texas, to supply the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex. On February 29, customers, consultants and suppliers from around the country gathered for Texas-style brisket and trimmings to celebrate the opening of the Texas distribution center.

Businesses in need of same-day parts in the DFW area can now capitalize on the convenience of a will-call center, continuing in the tradition of the Pompano Beach, Florida, location. The SEES store in Texas will be open five days a week, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Customers can call or email to arrange a pickup order or simply arrive and place an order at the storefront, and most orders are fulfilled in a matter of minutes. Customers can enjoy refreshments and coffee while they wait.

SEES will be stocking a wide range of parts and packaging modernization products at this new branch. This includes reversible side-slide doors, as well as center-parting doors, safety products like barricades, hoistway and traveling cable, wire rope, electrical components, door equipment, tools, signage, pit and car top products and more. SEES aspires to stock the expansive range of parts and supplies customers require and strives for same-day shipping for urgent needs.

“A distribution center in Texas gives our Central/Western customers better access to SEES parts, saving them time and shipping costs,” Vice President Rich Fitzgerald said.

Building on the Florida team’s experience and the SEES Quiet Tank design, plans are also underway to produce hydraulic pump units in Texas from sheet metal to final assembly and using components from some of the industry’s most trusted names.

SEES is a wholesale manufacturer and distributor of elevator, escalator and electrical replacement parts. In 1977, Richard and Verne Fitzgerald started SEES, with Richard bringing 10 years of experience in elevator service and construction. Together, they built SEES into the largest independent manufacturer and supplier of replacement parts in the U.S.
