Yaşar: We want to point out Elevator Safety

Then, AKM Elevator Control and Technical Inspection Services General Manager Muzaffer Yaşar took the floor and stated that they want to point out elevator safety, saying: “We organized a panel in Van in order to point out elevator safety. We invited the presidents and vice presidents of the zoning departments at our municipalities, as well as the elevator companies from Van, Ağrı, Bitlis, Siirt, Muş, Bingöl, Erzurum, Erzincan, Hakkâri and Şırnak. We invited the representatives from all fields of the sector here. There will be an informative presentation for the companies. We hope we will point out such activities more in order to increase the number of elevators that receive green label.”

Gülengül: Our elevators received green and blue labels

Then, Tuşba Deputy Mayor Azad Gülengül took the floor and underlined that the 91% of elevators in the town were inspected and received green and blue labels. He said, “We, as Tuşba Municipality, worked with AKM for two years, approximately. Tuşba Municipality is a new municipality. As zoning plans were prepared recently, we may have fewer elevators compared to other towns. As a result of our efforts in two years, we witnessed that inspections are carried out carefully in our town. We had good results at the inspections. Elevators in our town have been scanned and evaluated. Nearly 91% of elevators have been inspected and received green and blue labels, which indicate that these elevators are safe. Considering the Türkiye average, which is 52%, Tuşba Municipality had a very high score.”

At the panel, Edremit Municipality Building Control Manager Sait Türkmenoğlu said: “12% of the elevators in Edremit has red label, 11% has green label and 52% has blue label. We also work with AKM within the scope of the contract signed by our municipality.”
