The inauguration ceremony of amson® elevator’s second-phase plant was held on April 25, alongside its seventh anniversary in Suzhou, China, at the company’s new factory. There is also a 103-m-tall elevator testing tower beside the new workshop with eight testing hoistways, one of which can be used for elevators with speeds up to 8 mps.
Several organizations, including the China Elevator Association (CEA) and Shanghai Elevator Trade Association (SETA), and more than 500 representatives of agents, franchisers and suppliers attended the event. amson also held a dealers’ convention, which netted it 4,700 orders from dealers across the country. The company reports it has set up branches in nearly 30 cities and plans to add 30 more, along with 200 marketing and service facilities, in the next three years.
After the ceremony, the guests visited the modern factory, which covers 120 acres and uses Salvagnini assembly and painting lines. The assembly line adopts CNC programming to achieve one-step forming of door plates and car walls from raw materials, which greatly improves production efficiency and ensures product quality. The spray-painting line can complete a shift using different colors within 15 min. and is expandable for such features as a future double spray room, which could improve single-shift production efficiency by 30%.
