ATIS, Liberty and PSI make moves.

ATIS Continues Trend Started in 2015

ATIS Elevator Inspections, a subsidiary of American Testing & Inspection Services in St. Louis, has acquired CNY Elevator Inspections, which covers central New York State. It marks the sixth acquisition for ATIS since 2015 (ELEVATOR WORLD, July 2015). CNY has been led by Keith Robison and Jim Cosbey since it was founded in 2004. Tim Sauer, president and CEO of ATIS, stated:

“We have been working diligently to expand eastward, and the acquisition of CNY provides a foundation for that expansion. Robison and Cosbey have assembled a terrific team of QEIs and office personnel, and we are thrilled to have them become part of the ATIS family.”

Liberty Acquires JDK’s Inspection Division

Liberty Elevator Experts of Delaware has acquired the inspection division of JDK Elevator Services LLC of eastern Pennsylvania, continuing what Liberty President Christopher Dodds described as a series of planned acquisitions in the mid Atlantic that began with the acquisition of Johnson Elevator Inspections (EW, March 2016). JDK has performed compliance inspections throughout eastern Pennsylvania since 2004. Dodds stated:

“We are honored that J. Donald Kennedy chose to merge his inspection department into ours. Kennedy has worked within the industry for over 50 years, and his reputation and knowledge of the industry is priceless. He will continue with Liberty as a QEI and advisor, while maintaining his professional litigation practice separately.”

PSI, Brugg Partner for Midwest

Parts Specialists, Inc. (PSI) of Posen, Illinois, has announced a “Midwest Master Distributorship” agreement with Brugg Wire Rope of Rome, Georgia, to supply elevator professionals in the industry. In it, PSI will inventory and distribute Brugg’s line of elevator lifting products.
