The Elevator and Escalator Industrialists’ Association (AYSAD) held its 53rd Ordinary General Assembly on June 3 at the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers’ (MMO) Machinery-Hangar Engineering and Technology Center in Kartal.
After Turhan Korkmaz, AYSAD’s Communication consultant, opened the General Assembly, a Steering Committee to manage the assembly was elected. As a result of the voting, İzzet Güven was elected as chair of the Steering Committee, while Ebubekir Ünal and Seyfullah Köksal were elected as the secretaries.
Subsequently, Oğuzhan Bulgurluoğlu, president of AYSAD, presented a detailed activity report for the previous term. The prominent points in the report included the activities carried out during the earthquake, the European Lift Association General Assembly and efforts toward contributing to the new Elevator Regulation.
After the coffee break, during the second session, Murat Camgöz from Fermator read the Audit Committee’s activity report. After Riza
Latif from Fupa Lift read AYSAD’s estimated budget, it was unanimously approved by the members in the hall.
As a result of the General Assembly, the new members of AYSAD’s Board of Directors, comprising both permanent and substitute members who will serve from 2024 to 2026, were unanimously accepted. The permanent members who will serve on the new Board of Directors are Bulgurluoğlu (current board chairman), Fevzi Yıldırım (GTS), Latif (Fupa), Aziz Bilge (Otis), Nihat Güven (Mik-el), Can Mutu (Schindler) and Artuğ Özeren (TKE).
The substitute members are Sefa Targit, Savassal Sayin (Evatek), Sedat Yildiz (GM), Berk Ozbelli (Pera Engineering), Serkan Eris (EMT), Cansu Cavdar (Sanel) and Burcu Babadag (KONE).
Bora Gulan and Izzet Guven were unanimously awarded honorary membership titles along with plaques being presented to them during the General Assembly.
In the wishes and recommendations section of the General Assembly, discussions revolved around the unfair competition environment in the sector and legal procedures to be pursued in combating this issue.
