Sunny skies, prizes, spirited competition are highlights of EESF fundraiser.
The Chicago Elevator Association (CEA) held its annual golf outing at the Gleneagles Country Club in Lemont, Illinois, on August 3 to benefit the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation (EESF). It was a great day for the outing, with plenty of sunshine for the golfers. All attendees were winners at this year’s fundraiser event. A delicious dinner was provided following the outing. A world-class raffle with the industry’s finest prizes kept everyone smiling.
The Parts Specialists, Inc. (PSI) team was event champion, with a final score of 57, or 13 under par. The team consisted of Glenn Duncan, Tony Zomparelli, Brian Sheely and Dan Sheely.
The event included a 50/50 drawing for the EESF. CEA would like to thank Brad Hunt of The Peelle Co. and Kelsey Sybert of C.J. Anderson & Co. for helping collect US$1,700 for the drawing. Half went to the winner and the other half to EESF. We also raffled a Chicago Bears jersey autographed by “Da Coach” Mike Ditka, which brought in US$280 for the drawing.
The year’s EESF charity event was a huge success. CEA helped the EESF by raising US$2,000 to further its mission. CEA would like to thank members of the Golf Outing Committee: Duncan, Tom Przbyla and Molly Cruz of PSI; and Matt Dennett from RBN & Associates. The event was successful thanks to the support of our sponsors.
