Schmersal Thailand Established in Bangkok
The Schmersal Group, headquartered in Germany, recently established Schmersal Thailand Co. Ltd. in Bangkok. The new subsidiary will support Schmersal’s distribution partners in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region and supply Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and South Korea with machine safety products and solutions. In addition, certified safety engineers from tec.nicum, Schmersal’s service division, are onsite. Schmersal Thailand’s customers include companies in the food and beverage, pharmacy, personal-care, robotics, steel and automotive industries. “The Thai market and the entire Southeast Asia region offer great potential,” Schmersal Thailand Managing Director Prasad Kulkarni observed. “The ASEAN countries represent one of the fastest-growing economies in the world.”
MS Siam Tower Offers Premium Office Space in Bangkok
MS Siam Tower, a 38-story office tower developed by Thunsrisiam in Bangkok, is open and ready for move-in, the Bangkok Post reported in September. The building, which carries a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification, provides premium office space within its 80,000 m2, and 360° views of Bangkok from its location at Rama III and Industrial Ring roads. It also has 3,000 m2 of space within a two-story retail plaza that includes a food court, fitness center and a variety of retail outlets, and offers 12 elevators with destination control, a 10-story parking deck with space for 800 cars and keycard security access. Total development cost for the project was THB2.6 billion (US$85 million).
