An overview of the company’s recently launched Vision series

In September 2011, Formula Systems launched its new Vision series, offering a variety of features designed to inspire passenger confidence and enhance the passenger experience. The series generated interest from OEMs, distributors, installation vendors, service businesses and property owners when announced at 2001’s National Association of Elevator Contractors Annual Exposition and Interlift. The product comes in a range of profile sizes and feature options; each incorporates Formula Systems’ patented offset beam and Sill Light technologies.

The Sill Light is designed to draw passenger attention to the floor sill zone, highlighting the possibility of trip hazards often caused by the misalignment of the elevator and floor. Another patented feature is Formula Systems’ Beam Path Locator (BPL), which identifies the beam path locations. This array of flashing amber lights is intended to be recognized as a color and mode indicator of the need to exercise caution. Not only can two features improve the passenger experience, the potential for harm to the individual and damage to the elevator can be reduced.
