Elevator Going. . . Left?

Elevator-Going-Left

Adventurous would-be passengers may be disappointed to learn that, contrary to what the button indicates,
“sideways” isn’t really an option here. The strangely arranged call buttons were spotted and captured by ELEVATOR WORLD Graphic Design Associate Jessica Trippe in a New Orleans parking garage near the Superdome. This middle elevator in a bank of three promises to take riders up or to the left when, in reality, the elevator merely provides standard vertical transportation. We can only assume that someone rotated the button, accidentally or intentionally, but when the truth is known, this elevator ride becomes a little less exciting.

Since 1953, Elevator World, Inc. has been the premier publisher for the global vertical transportation industry. It employs specialists in Mobile, Alabama, and has technical and news correspondents around the world.
