On October 19-22, 2010, Euro-Lift held its first exhibition of its kind in Kielce, Poland, at the Kielce Trade Fair Congress Centre. More than 2,000 visitors attended the event according to Targi Kielce’s estimates. The lift industry, in spite of its significant potential, has not been regarded as a priority in the region before. Therefore, organizer Targi Kielce S.A. took advantage of the market niche.

Euro-Lift provided exhibitors an opportunity to present quality selling products and organize unveilings of new material-handling equipment. The exhibition included some of the latest developments in the lift industry. Its range of exhibited products and services included lift equipment and components, drives, cabins, lift ropes, doors, controllers, surveillance and safety systems, operation systems, indicators, hydraulic solutions, accessories and fitments, and trade publications.

Among the exhibitors were the leading Polish enterprises, the products of which are widely recognized in the international market. This market seems to attract considerable attention among companies operating abroad, as exhibitors from China, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Russia, Sweden, Turkey and Spain made up more than 40% of participants.

Euro-Lift can be regarded as an impressive launch into the trade fair market. Producers and distributors that
had stands demonstrated the quality of the fair. Among the exhibitors were Astat, Atlas Lift, BKG Polska, Cedes, Centrum Elektroniki Stosowanej, Cito, D+H Polska, Elevator Trading, Extis, Fabryka Urz˛adze´n D´zwigowych, Kleffman, Global Lift Polska, IGV Group, Lift Components, Liftequip, Lift Service, Lift Service Komponenty, Lifttechnik, Liny Stalowe Brugg, Pilawa, Schaefer, Schindler Polska, SSJ, Sterd´zwig, Sterlift Jerzy Roo, Wes, Winda, Wittur and Ziehl-Abegg. Targi Kielce intends to make a continued effort to extend the list of the next exhibit to be held again in Kielce in October 2012.

Targi Kielce had support from several organizations and publishers. Among supporters were the Polish Association of Lift Manufacturers, the Technical Safety Centre, the Technical Inspection Office, as well as the European Technical Information Publishers, which produces the D´zwig (Lift) magazine. It was upon their initiatives that Euro-Lift was accompanied by a National Consultation Forum, during which the topical issues in the lift industry were addressed. The fair was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Ministry of Economy.

submitted by MP Corp.

MP introduced some of its new components designed and developed by its R&D teams at Euro-Lift. Among the components were the MaGO Machine, which is a gearless machine with a permanent-magnet synchronous motor; the DSP Plus, a control system designed to make installations comfortable and energy efficient and allows maintaining the current controller without modifying the lift shaft, converting a two-speed or variable-voltage, variable-frequency unit into a gearless lift; and MaGO Dismantlable bedframes, which allow easy access to components in machine rooms and the replacement of machine and existing bedframe.

In addition to the component introductions, MP announced at the fair that it acquired EI 120 certification for its Massen automatic lift doors. Prior to attending Euro-Lift, MP attended construction-industry Expo CIHAC in Mexico on October 12-16, 2010.
