New cab interior line, hydraulic oil cleaner

Elevator Interior Line

The new Quick Cab Elevator Interior promises to reduce interior weights by as much as 66%. Weighing only 150-200 lb., the line features designs manufactured with traditional fire-rated particle board and plastic laminate in a lightweight Class 1 panel. Fabricated from 5/8-in.-thick expanded polystyrene and faced front and back with .05-thousands aluminum, the panels are finished with either plastic laminate, wood veneer or stainless steel.

Incorporating a modified “True Vent Base,” stainless handrail backer and stainless frieze, the new panel design can be installed in 30-45 min. per wall. Designs include panels in horizontal, vertical or combination layout and are available in all Wilsonart and Formica laminates; genuine cherry, maple, sapelle, bamboo, walnut, teak and zebrawood wood veneers; and Rimex and Rigidized grained or embossed metals.

Offline Oil Filtration for Hydraulic Elevators

Gorman Co., Inc. offers an offline oil filtration Plug and Play Kit for hydraulic elevators. Its 3-micron element filters particles, water, acid and varnish to increase the reliability and service life of elevator equipment and the life of the oil. It includes an oil sampling port, a manual motor starter with NEMA enclosure, a pressure gauge, a hose and tubing kit, a portable stand, and a power cord for its 120-V, 60-Hz electric motor. It holds 1.5 l. of dirt, and 1 kg of particles, oxidation byproducts, resin, sludge and varnish are retained by the cellulose material. Each filter can absorb up to 750 ml of water.

According to the company, the product can help avoid breakdowns, as 80% of oil system failures are due to oil contamination. It can also improve ride quality, eliminate the acids that cause oil smell and be direct-mounted in the machine room or easily transported to multiple locations.
