Aritec New Materials Group AG, a tech company based in Lucerne, Switzerland, has introduced the ARIBELT 30 F3.4, a high-tech aramid cord-based elevator belt. The ARIBELT 30 F3.4 has been approved according to Directive 2014/33/EU and complies with the reference standards EN 81-20:2020 and EN 81-50:2020. This certification, issued on July 31, underlines the high quality and safety of the product in line with European standards for elevator systems.
The ARIBELT 30 F3.4 measures 30 x 3.3 mm and has been designed for various applications. A key feature of the ARIBELT 30 F3.4 is its construction of 10 aramid cords, including five sZ cords and five zS cords. This combination is reinforced by Aritec technology, specifically designed to ensure quality performance and reliability. Aritec and Japanese brand TEIJIN cooperated on the ARIBELT 30 F3.4. The ARIBELT 30 F3.4 is “Made in Germany.” The TÜV certification of the ARIBELT 30 F3.4 helps ensure customers and industry partners will receive a high-quality and reliable solution for their vertical mobility needs.
Benefits for the Industry and the Environment
The introduction of the ARIBELT 30 F3.4 brings multiple benefits to the elevator industry. The significant reduction in weight of the ARIBELT 30 F3.4 not only helps reduce CO2 emissions but also helps conserve valuable global resources. This weight reduction positively impacts the elevator design, enabling a more efficient and sustainable transportation system. In addition, using high-tech aramid cords improves passenger experience in speed, comfort and safety.
Another notable advantage is the ability to operate the belt without lubrication. In practice, this feature means lower maintenance requirements and contributes to environmental friendliness, as the absence of lubricants reduces the use of potentially harmful chemicals.
With a breaking force of 43 kN at a diameter of the traction sheave of 80 mm and 18 million bending cycles, the ARIBELT 30 F3.4 provides robustness and performance. This strength ensures high reliability and safety of the elevator system. Aritec engineers are also working on an advanced monitoring system to ensure continuous supervision.
The product is currently available at Aritec’s Swiss headquarters, and the company is establishing a global distribution network.
