Hyundai Elevator holds a Global Idea Contest in five countries in order to improve its fastest, most comfortable and safe transportation experience in line with the latest architectural trends and to provide new opportunities for the young people.
Hyundai Elevator Global Idea Contest, which has a total prize of 15,000 USD, waits for bright ideas on elevator design from Türkiye, China, South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia. The contest has three categories: Smart elevator with new technology applied, New type of elevator design and Elevator concept utilizing Turkish cultural characteristics. The winner will receive $4,000, three runners-up will receive $2,000, third prize for three projects will be $1,000 and 10 projects will be awarded with honorary mention of $200.
Anyone who is open to new ideas can take part in the contest. Submissions will be open until September 19 and the winners will be announced in October. Submissions will be accepted via email (HDELTR@hyundaielevator.com) in A2 size (420 x 297 mm horizontal format) PDF or JPG file (maximum, 10 MB) and with an introduction text of two pages, including the name, country and contact information.
Hyundai Elevator employed more than 200 people and worked with more than 1,000 contractors since it was established in Türkiye in 2016 and had a great contribution in employment and economy. Hyundai Elevator Türkiye had been involved in big and prestigious projects, such as Istanbul Finance Center (180 units), Istanbul Metro (264 units), City Hospitals Projects and Sheraton Hotel. It is recognized with its high-speed elevator technology as three out of 10 high-rise buildings completed in Türkiye as of August 2022 have been equipped by Hyundai Elevator.
About the contest, Hyundai Elevator Türkiye CEO Kyu Sang Yum said, “While Hyundai Elevator is a global company, we also work for reflecting the wishes of our local customers to our products. As part of this, we hold a global design contest where the people directly propose and participate in elevator designs. Therefore, we ask for the participation and bright ideas of talented university students and everyone who is open to generate new ideas in Türkiye.”
