MMO 50th Ordinary General Assembly held in Ankara.

The 50th Ordinary General Assembly and elections of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers (MMO) of the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB) were held in an atmosphere of a democracy festival on April 20-21, 2024, in Ankara at the Kocatepe Culture Center and the MMO Education and Culture Center.

The general assembly elections were held with a single list that included the candidates of the Democratic Engineers. As a result of the elections, the Management, Honor and Audit Boards of the Chamber’s 50th term were elected to represent the Chamber at the TMMOB General Assembly (with 100 delegates) and on the Management Board, High Honor and Audit Boards as a bloc.

As a result of the elections:

Yunus Yener (chairman), Arife Kurtoglu (vice chairman), Elif Öztürk (secretary), Bedri Tekin (treasurer), Harun Erpolat, Erhan İğneli, Deniz Alp Yılmaz, alternate members Salim Melih Şahin, Zafer Öztürk, Serap Özpolat Çete, İzzet Seferbeyoğlu, Melih Mehmet Hakkı Yılmaz, Fadime Gökkütük, Umut Kurt were elected as the principal members of the Chamber Board of Directors.

Emin Koramaz, the current president of the Board of Directors of TMMOB, Hüseyin Atıcı, İbrahim Muhsin Tataroğlu were elected to represent the Chamber in the Board of Directors of TMMOB.

Uğur Ayken was elected to TMMOB’s High Honor Board and Ali Haydar Karaçam was elected to TMMOB’s Supervisory Board.

Mehmet Selçuk Göndermez, Nergiz Bilgin, Sadettin Özkalender, Seyfettin Avcı, Mehmet Özsakarya, Ahmet Turan Dörtdemir, Tefik Demirçalı, Cemal Ahmet Akçakaya, Naci Erçolak, Birhan Şahin were elected as principal members of the Chamber Honor Board.

Erdal Taş, Hüseyin Dincer, Haydar Şahin, Osman Çakıl, Fikret Çaral, İbrahim Emre Şenyer, Hakan Subaşı, Neşet Aykanat, Esra Elitaş, Ahmet İlbaşı, Aydın Güçkıran, Tuncay Korkmaz, Haluk Altay, Hüseyin Çelik, Gürsel Yayla were elected as the principal members of the Chamber Auditing Board; and Hüseyin Kalantor, Şayende Yılmaz, Cumali Serdar Sönmez, Durmuş Alpaslan Gürbüzer, Beycan Tekkoyun, Sinan Öztemel, Mehmet Ünal Şenyurt, Nergis Uygun, Cafer Yıldız, Bülent Öntaş, Özgür Selçuk, Niyazi Oğuz, Selda Ünver, Taylan Özkan, Adil Kesten were elected as substitute members.
