MP Lifts organised the MP Open Days event for consultants, construction project managers and lift companies from the U.K.  and Ireland, in which bespoke product design took centre stage.

These seminars, held at the MP Lifts facilities in Seville, Spain, in October 2024, were attended by 50 people from different cities such as Manchester, London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dublin, Galway, Ennis and Cork, who were able to see first-hand all aspects related to the company, products, services, manufacturing facilities and, in the R&D laboratory, the wide range of bespoke solutions. Thanks to this initiative, MP has reinforced its image of a solid and transparent company among the sector’s British and Irish professionals.

Renewed Laboratories: Pioneering Innovation in Lift Technology

One of the key highlights of the Open Days was the unveiling of MP Lifts’ renewed laboratories, designed to push the boundaries of lift technology. These upgraded testing and R&D facilities reflect MP’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

Visitors had the chance to witness live demonstrations of MP Lifts’ latest testing protocols, which are central to the development of both existing and new products. With an increased focus on sustainability and energy efficiency, MP Lifts is ensuring that its products meet the ever-growing demands of the modern built environment.

A Walkthrough of MP Lifts’ Manufacturing Process

The factory tour was another standout feature of the event where attendees were guided through MP Lifts’ expansive production line. From raw materials to finished products, the tour provided insight into the company’s comprehensive in-house manufacturing capabilities. This hands-on experience allowed visitors to observe the entire production process, including how MP Lifts maintains its commitment to quality control at every stage.

Of particular interest to many was the production line dedicated to the MP maGO lift gearless machines and the ecoGO controller. As essential parts of the MP GO complete lift, they are fully manufactured in-house at MP Lifts and have become a cornerstone of the company’s offering. The MP GO range is renowned for its precision engineering, energy efficiency and ease of installation.

Specific Product Offer for the U.K. and Ireland

The product that MP Lifts has added to its offer meets the usual requirements of these markets.

On the one hand, the MP ecoGO controller stands out, with the most advanced technology and features, also available with an anti-vandalism variant in accordance with BS EN 81-71 category 2. Furthermore, it offers different connection systems, allowing the lifts to be monitored or linked to other systems in the building. Participants were also able to see first-hand the NEW SUPRA car, which is highly resistant to vandalism and also complies with BS EN 81-71 category 2.

On the other hand, MP Lifts co-designs with distributors bespoke solutions, which are adapted to the requirements of each particular project. In this sense, the attendees saw the car and frame of a machine-room-less electric lift with a rated load of 1250 kg and speed of 1 m/s, designed for a railway station.

Strengthening Relationships With Distributors and Consultants

In short, the MP Lifts Open Days were an excellent opportunity for the company to showcase its engineering and manufacturing capabilities for any type of tailor-made solution for each project and the needs of each customer, for the most demanding specifications or specific components and heavy loads.

Attendees could also learn about the work of the Valentín de Madariaga Foundation and his commitment to promote his legacy regarding cultural, business and social entrepreneurship, as well as visit some of the city’s historic places.

This event strengthens MP Lifts closeness and good treatment toward its customers and the great importance given to personal relationships in order to overcome the professional relationship as reflected in its slogan “moving people.”
