Safety Products To Be Launched at WEEE
Avire is launching two products at the World Elevator & Escalator Expo (WEEE) 2014, to take place on May 16-19 in Guangzhou, China. Memco’s C100 emergency telephone can be surface or flush mounted, or installed behind the car-operating panel. The surface-mounted version features integrated emergency lighting, a customizable text plate and pictograms that remain hidden until backlit. It can also be programmed at the touch of a button.
The Optical Slot Sensor from TL Jones provides accurate elevator leveling to millimeter precision and is designed to ensure the safety of passengers as they enter and exit the elevator. It has exceptional resistance to dirt and debris thanks to its robust, fully sealed IP65-rated enclosure. It is marketed as having high light immunity, high repeatability and suitability for new or existing installations.
VElevator Loop to Meet Accessibility Norms
The Your Sense Elevator Loop is designed to meet the EN 81/70 accessibility norm requirement of two-way elevator communication. In the case of hard-of-hearing passengers, an elevator induction loop is to be installed. (Hearing-aid wearers cannot use this system, because of interference and background noise.) This product is designed to only require 5-10 min. of downtime for installation, which consists of connecting two cables. Other features include OEM or retrofit installation, built-in amplifier and microphone, external microphone cable, external-12 VDC power connection, compact size (135 X 105 mm), extension line/microphone inputs, and reduced background noise.
