Ken Schmid Selected to Lead KONE Americas

KONE has named Ken Schmid executive vice president for KONE Americas, the top leadership role in the division, the company announced in March. Schmid previously served as senior vice president, finance, and a member of the company’s Global Finance Leadership Team since 2005, and has been interim leader of KONE Americas and a member of the executive board since February. Other previous roles with KONE Americas include senior vice president of global information services, senior vice president and chief information officer, vice president of quality and various new-equipment sales roles at multiple KONE branches. In his new role, he will be based in Lisle, Illinois, and will report to KONE President and CEO Henrik Ehrnrooth, who welcomed Schmid as “the permanent leader of our Americas business.”

Invertek Drives USA Taps Regional Manager, Makes Promotion

Invertek Drives USA, headquartered near Chicago, has hired David Dillon as regional sales manager, covering the eastern U.S. from Florida to Maine. Based in Huntersville, North Carolina, Dillon assumed the position on April 1. He has more than 20 years’ experience in sales, previously working for companies in the motion control, optical sensor and fluid power industries. Invertek Drives USA Vice President Wayne Morris said Dillon’s
“wealth of experience and knowledge of the variable-frequency-drive industry and associated sectors will help us continue our growth in the North American Market.” The company also promoted Midwest Regional Manager Pete Roberts to national sales team manager. Roberts continues to oversee the Midwest region, and Dillon reports to him.
