MCE showcases new product.
submitted by MCE
Motion Control Engineering (MCE), part of Nidec Elevator, introduces its latest destination input device (DID) fixtures, compliant with 2022 NYC Building Code, Chapter 11, Accessibility. The fixtures are available in surface mount and applied (flat) format extending less than 1 in. from the wall while still aligning with accessibility code standards. Step scanner functionality works alongside MCE’s existing Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant button. Instead of waiting for one’s floor to be announced before pressing the button, one may press the “up” or “down” step scan buttons quickly to reach his or her floor or hold it for 2 s to jump 10 floors at a time. MCE’s first offering is in an SS4 brushed stainless steel finish, with other standard finishes to come in the near future.
Available in 7-in. and 10-in. capacitive touch sizes, the DID fixtures maintain all the feature-rich, cutting-edge, high-quality and non-proprietary technology that customers have come to expect. Manufactured in North America, MCE fixtures are designed and developed in-house at MCE in California by the same engineering teams that developed MCE’s top-of-the-line intelligent elevator controllers. The result is an interface device with a sleek and modern appearance that integrates seamlessly and reliably with MCE controllers. MCE DID fixtures are designed for passengers, building maintenance personnel and contractors alike. acim.nidec.com
