U.K. pet-insurance company More Than is attempting to turn our industry’s gaze toward the untapped pet market. Its “Stair of the Dog 2022” prototype was created to “publicize the rising need for costly medical care for obese pets,” according to the Huffington Post. Dogs can use a “paw recognition button” to activate the lift’s retractable electronic platform. Once the lift’s basket is depressed by the disadvantaged dog’s derriere, the system runs unabated. Retailers have expressed interest in manufacturing and selling the device, which can cater to your canine for US$8,000.
