Supports Provided for Increasing Exports Have Been Determined

With the aim of increasing the sustainability of exports, export supports for preparing the companies for export and gaining competitive advantage in international markets that will be given by the Support and Price Stabilization Fund (DFIF) have been determined.

“Presidential Decree on Export Supports” has been published in the Official Gazette on August 18, 2022. Within the scope of the new decision, the expenses of companies for the registration and protection of their trademarks abroad, for which they have a domestic trademark registration certificate, will be supported at a rate of 50% up to 750,000 TL per year. The companies will receive this support for maximum four years.

Market Penetration Project Preparation Support

Consultancy and report expenses of the companies in order to increase their export volume in a sustainable way, their financing and pricing strategy, marketing and channel strategy, and their action plan and budgets for foreign markets will be supported at a rate of 50% and up to 200,000 TL per project. Maximum two market penetration projects per company will be supported. The companies will receive this foreign-market research support maximum for 20 times, with a maximum of five times within one calendar year.

Support for International Trade Fairs

Exhibitors and personal participations for international exhibitions will be supported for maximum five exhibitions based on the square meters of the booth.

The support that will be paid to the international exhibition participants will not exceed 150,000 TL for general exhibitions; 250,000 TL for sectoral exhibitions, and 750,000 TL for the prestigious international exhibitions determined by the Ministry (General Directorate of Exports).

The amount of the support that is determined by the Ministry (General Directorate of Exports) for the international exhibitions will not exceed the 50% of the approximate total cost per square meter, 70% in the target countries determined by the Ministry, 75% for the international exhibition participants that exhibit at the fairs organized in the target countries determined by the Ministry.

Under Article 1, International exhibition participants, identified in the circular on implementing procedures of the Decree, will receive support for maximum 10 exhibitions within one calendar year. The amount of such support will be 75% of the total cost per square meters, regardless of country or sector.

Under the Article 2, International exhibition participants will receive support maximum for 10 times for the same international exhibition. International exhibition participants will also receive support maximum for two times for prestigious international exhibitions within one calendar year.

International exhibition organizer promotion activities that will be held for the exhibitions determined by the Ministry (General Directorate of Exports) and bilateral negotiations that will be organized by the international exhibition organizer with the participation of international exhibitors will be supported by a maximum of 75%, up to a total of 2,000,000 TL. International exhibition organizer promotion activities which will be held for the exhibitions which are out of this scope and bilateral negotiations that will be organized by the international exhibition organizer with the participation of international exhibitors will be supported at a rate of 50% and up to 1,000,000 TL.

Support for Domestic Trade Fairs

For receiving support, a domestic exhibition should be included in the annual domestic exhibition calendar announced by the Turkish Union of Chambers and Exchange Commodities and published in the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette; the number of foreign visitors should be at least 1,500 with a ratio of 10% of all visitors, the total number of exhibitors should be 400, and the number of foreign visitors should be 10% of the all exhibitors; the booth area allocated to the exhibitors should be minimum 10,000 square meters and the booth area allocated to the foreign exhibitors should be at least 300 square meters in at least 2 of the recent 3 exhibitions.

Domestic exhibition participants will be supported at a rate of 50% and up to 80,000TL for the stallage and other booth costs. Under the Article 4, Domestic exhibition participants will also be supported for maximum three exhibitions within one calendar year.

Promotion Support

Promotion and marketing costs of the companies, which have units abroad concerning the products produced in Türkiye, will be supported at a rate of 50% up to 2,500,000 TL per year for foreign unit.

Promotion and marketing costs of the same companies, which have units abroad concerning the products produced in Türkiye, will be supported at a rate of 50% up to 2,500,000 TL, for each country where the company has no unit, provided that the product in question has a domestic trademark registration certificate and a trademark registration document for the country where it will be promoted or an application for trademark registration has been made.

Promotion and marketing costs of the companies which do not have foreign units but have domestic trademark registration certificate and a trademark registration certification or application for registration at the related country, and will be supported at a rate of 50% up to 4,000,000 TL per year.

Companies will receive the promotion support for maximum four years.

Brand and TURQUALITY® Support

Patent, utility model, industrial design registration, market entry certificate, registration, employment, consultancy expenses of companies included in the TURQUALITY® support program and growth roadmap for the branded products included in the support, foreign trademark registration/renewal/protection, market researches and their reports, clinical tests, promotion, exhibition, storage and unit rental/installation/concept architecture and franchise expenses, will be supported at a rate of 50% for four years.

The expenses of the companies/brands, included in the TURQUALITY® support program, regarding their activities in target markets will be supported for five years for each target market. Acquired foreign brands will not be supported.
