All Elevator Industry Employers Association (TASIS), which is Türkiye’s first trade union in the elevator and escalator industry, has been established on August 8, and got into action.
The union, which operates under the guidance of Elevator Industrialists Association for a while, will now operate under “Metal” business line (#12) and “Installation, maintenance and repair of elevators, escalators, moving walks, automatic and swing doors” (#43.29.01) sub-branch.
The targets of the union are to preserve and develop common economic and social rights ub and benefits of the member employers and their representatives operating in elevator installation, maintenance and repair fields within the framework of the legislation; to provide mutual assistance between them; to support providing a better work environment and a fair wage system for a more efficient and harmonious elevator industry; to take actions to strengthen the country’s economy and to make a collective labor agreement in order to provide continuous and long-term welfare and social security for its members and employees; to establish and maintain labor peace; and to represent its members and to carry out both domestic and international activities for these purposes.
Ali Turgay Kuluğ, Barış Evliçoğlu, Recep Şimşek, Durmuş Soylu, Hüseyin Şen, Enes Yılmaz and Bülent Kulak are the founders of TASIS, which got into action upon being published on the website of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
