The 2024 Ellies Awards winners and runners-up were announced live on stage on September 25 at the 2024 United Convention & Exposition in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Held in an education pavilion on the tradeshow floor, the event was standing room only, with companies excited and eagerly anticipating the announcement of the 20 winners and 20 runners-up of the seventh annual Ellies Awards.
As in years past, companies were nominated by members of the vertical-transportation community, company employees and their customers. Following the nomination period, finalists were chosen and then voted on for several weeks to determine this year’s award recipients.
Before announcing the winning companies, ELEVATOR WORLD President/CEO T. Bruce MacKinnon shared some statistics from the contest’s history and this year’s record-breaker:
“This is our seventh year doing the Ellies, and in that first year, we had roughly 60 companies nominated, 12,000 votes and 14 winners. Last year, we had 102 companies nominated, nearly 30,000 votes and 250,000 views to the Ellies webpage. This year, we had 120 companies nominated, more than 60,000 votes and over 1 million views on the Ellies page. First, I would like to thank NAEC for promoting the Ellies and allowing us to present here today on stage at United. Next, I would thank you all for participating and advertising this awards program. We are so grateful for the support of this great industry.”
To whoops, hollers and much applause, winners were announced and presented their custom Ellies trophies, and runners-up were given a certificate of appreciation. Congratulations to all the 2024 Ellies Awards winners and runners-up.
