These well-timed photos from our 2014 Annual Photo Contest (winners in ELEVATOR WORLD, August 2014) were submitted by Russell Walker of Atwell International in Worcester, U.K. The photo at left, “Guide Rail Is Born,” depicts the first stage in the hot rolling process. At right, we see the start of the future rails’ journey: steel bullets ready to be transformed into guide rails. The pictures are from Savera’s guide-rail plant in San Sebastián, Spain.
