Under the chairmanship of Turkey ASFED Technical Committee, Turkey ASFED prepared a report on a draft related to the Market Surveillance Directive based on opinions of the Boards of its 17 member associations and presented it to the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

Considering the problems experienced in the market, the target of this endeavor, carried out by 17 elevator and escalator associations that operate in Turkey, was to eliminate differences in practice.

In the report prepared by the Technical Committee of the Federation, Turkey ASFED made comments and suggestions on Articles 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14, considering the legal cases that caused aggrievement of several companies due to various practices and commentaries, and made some recommendations on the related article.

The Market Surveillance Directive, which will be finalized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology under the findings of the studies by Turkey ASFED and other related institutions, is expected to be implemented sometime this year.
