In July, The Anatolian Elevator Industrialists Association (ANASDER) visited Ankara Industry and Technology Provincial Director Yusuf İnce and Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) President Nurettin Özdebir in their offices.

Following the 13th General Assembly, ANASDER President Hakan Baikaraağaç and the new management visited Ankara Industry and Technology Provincial Director Yusuf İnce and Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) President Nurettin Özdebir in their offices. During the meetings, problems experienced by the domestic elevator industry were brought to the agenda. Also during the visits, which were carried out to help with the development of the domestic elevator industry, discussions were also held on the downswing that the companies are faced with.

Fines Should be Canceled

Branch manager Mehmet Cevher was among the visitors who met with Ankara Industry and Technology Provincial Director Yusuf İnce. ANASDER drew attention to the payment difficulties that domestic elevator companies experience and stated that the sector experiences problems due to COVID-19 related economic shrinkage. He also underlined that as the 60-day period specified in the Regulation for correcting deficiencies of elevators was not sufficient due to the pandemic, so the time limit should be extended and fines should be canceled.

Local Elevator Companies May Close Down in Three Years

ANASDER management also visited Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) President Nurettin Özdebir in his place and exchanged views on the problems of the elevator industry. ASO Vice Presidents Seyit Ardıç and Mete Çağlayan, ASO Board Member Birol Duygu and council members Gürhan Cihaner and Serdar Aksöz also attended the meeting. ANASDER President Başkaraağaç stated that the elevator companies may close down in three years if the problems of the domestic elevator industry are not solved, and that necessary precautions should be taken in order to avoid this.
