Not even the CECA Convention in Niagara Falls, Canada (p. 104), was spared the hampering of vertical transporta-tion due to a labor strike during the event. While this escalator was considered the “down” one (in two ways), only one of the two nearby elevators was functional. As of press time, the strike had broken (p. 24).
