A visit to NYC offers quite a bit to see and do. There are tourist attractions galore, with everything from theaters to parks, iconic landmarks and so much more — including museums. If you’re looking for something a little (pun intended) unique, be sure to visit the Mmuseumm on Cortlandt Alley in Manhattan.

Mmuseumm is a museum about how the world works — located inside of a single, 36-ft2 freight elevator, and the museum itself is 6-ft wide, 6-ft deep, and 6 ft, 3 in. tall, according to The Travel.

The Mmuseumm features everyday, and often unique, objects from around the world. The objects are put into different collections and displays that change each year. According to the source, a few recent collections have been named “Losing Time,” “The Final Straw” and “Human Exchanges.” Mmuseumm.com describes the museum as “a style of storytelling about the modern world. It is Object Journalism. It is a new type of museum, expanding in a network of expected and unexpected locations, dedicated to exploring modern humanity and current events through revealing objects from around the world.”

The Mmuseumm is free to enter with a timed ticket. According to the website, the museum is currently closed for the winter in preparation for the upcoming 2022 display, but it has a viewing window that is open 24/7.
