Position Overview
As our Senior Sales Manager, you will hold the keys to our market growth and team evolution. You will not just manage accounts; you will lead a high-performing sales team and strengthen critical customer relationships across all our lines of business.
This is a highly collaborative leadership role. You will partner directly with our Operations and Production teams to align our commercial strategy with execution, ensuring profitable growth while promoting a culture of safety, customer satisfaction, and brand consistency by modeling true teamwork every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Market Strategy:
- Maintain a strong understanding of market conditions, competitors, sales backlog, bid activity, and growth opportunities.
- Oversee and enhance EMCO’s marketing presence by maintaining website content, identifying strategic marketing opportunities, and strengthening social media engagement to support brand growth and sales initiatives.
- Business Development: Identify new market share opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop sales representatives; set goals, monitor performance, and provide ongoing training.
- Sales Management Excellence: Identify sales skill gaps and implement targeted coaching and training initiatives.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, consultants, and architects to support retention and growth.
- Safety Leadership: Promote and support a strong safety-first culture throughout the organization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations and Production teams on strategic leads, labor estimating, and capacity planning.
- Bidding & Profitability: Manage bid strategies to ensure profitability and compliance with established approval levels.
- Brand Representation: Ensure consistent brand messaging across sales presentations, proposals, and bids.
- Customer Satisfaction: Champion proactive customer support and long-term relationship management.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of directly related sales experience in the elevator or related industry
- Prior people-management experience required
Skills & Competencies
- Proven leadership, coaching, and performance management skills
- Strong ability to review and guide contract proposals and business correspondence
- Analytical and problem-solving skills focused on improving profitability
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is $150,000 – $180,000 annually, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity. This position may be eligible for additional incentives, commissions, and/or bonuses in accordance with company plans.
