VFA-Interlift e.V.
VFA-Interlift e.V. was founded in 1987 with the aim of promoting the use of elevators and escalators.
The initiative to found the association came from medium-sized companies in the elevator industry who were looking for a platform to pool their interests.
Since its foundation with an initial 30 members, the association has developed into an organization with over 200 members from both Germany and other countries.
In 2008, the VFA founded an academy to support vocational training in the field of elevator technology.
This institution offers training and further education programmes and works together with qualified lecturers and various economic institutions and organizations.
The VFA also sponsors interlift, the largest elevator trade fair in the world, which takes place every two years. Originally held in Augsburg, the trade fair will be held in Nuremberg from 2025.
