SkillsUSA NLSC Introduces Students to Elevator Industry Careers

The SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) will be held on June 23-27 in Atlanta, Georgia, and is expected to host more than 6,500 student competitors. For the third year, the elevator industry – comprised of a partnership among National Elevator Industry, Inc. (NEII), National Elevator Industry Educational Program (NEIEP) and the Elevator Industry Work Preservation Fund (EIWPF) – will host a booth at SkillsUSA NLSC. The industry representatives will share the wide range of career opportunities within the vertical-transportation industry to thousands of students who are already primed to succeed within building trades. This year’s elevator industry booth will feature four Try-A-Skill activities, where students will get digital hands-on experience through a virtual reality escape room experience. Mechanics from NEII member companies will also be available each day to talk with students.
