A 30-story student tower, along with a nine-story structure, has been approved by the Old Oak Park and Park Royal Development Corp. for Park Royal, West London, Urban Living reports. Designed by Maccreanor Lavington, the plan just north of Acton Town Centre includes a main, triangular tower housing 888 studio apartments for students, amenities and teaching spaces. The nine-story block will house 32 affordable housing units and commercial space within 2,000 m2. Stating the development will be “transformative” for Park Royal Road, Maccreanor Lavington Associate Director Ken Thompson said it will include ample public green space, and “revitalize and the area with urban street frontages and upgraded active travel connections.”
