3 Lifts Inaugurated at Sitafalmandi Railway Station
Three passenger lifts were added to the Sitafalmandi Railway Station in Secunderabad, India, on September 13, the Hans India was among outlets to report. G Kishan Reddy, union minister of Tourism, Culture, and Development of the North Eastern Region of India, said the lifts provide convenient mobility for passengers, especially senior passengers, and help to ease traffic congestion in the twin cities, Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Some of the functions of the new lifts will include heavy-duty capability with 13-passenger capacity, an Automatic Rescue Device (ARD) in case of power failure, an audio announcement feature, two stops and two openings on the same side, as well as a center-opening side glass door.
