Abedian & Co, the family’s private development company that has been developing the Gold Coast’s skyline for 40 years, has filed plans for three towers in the past week, reports The Urban Developer. Abedian’s latest proposal is for a US$580-million high rise that will include 115 apartments over 47 stories at Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia. Following a revised plan for the development of its two eight-story towers, Greenmount Beach Resort site at Coolangatta, the Broadbeach tower is set to contain 2,024 m2. The towers will contain mostly two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments across the 42 residential levels, with seven full-floor, five-bedroom “sky homes.” Designed by BDA Architecture, the towers feature a curvaceous sculptural façade. “The overall design of the tower is fluid and flowing and incorporates fine grain materials with luscious landscaping to create a tower that will be an elegant addition to the Broadbeach skyline,” said a design statement. Pending approval, construction is set to begin development in early 2026.
