AEG Acquires Pennsylvania-Based Port Elevator

American Elevator Group (AEG) announced on June 1 the acquisition of Port Elevator, expanding AEG’s central Pennsylvania footprint. The acquisition brings the number of AEG business units to 18 nationwide. Originally incorporated in 1975 and acquired by Jerry Rexer in 1985, Port has offices in Williamsburg and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and provides maintenance, repair, violation correction and non-proprietary new equipment installation. Lift Business Advisors facilitated the deal on behalf of Port Elevator. Rexer will transition from Port president to a consultative role. His sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Steve Pauluaskas, will remain with the company. Rexer said they “will enjoy the development opportunities our membership in AEG will bring.”
