Airport In Vietnam Installs Extra Elevators

TCP Investment JSC has installed two new elevators in the parking lot of the Tan Son Nhat airport, which is the largest airport in Vietnam, VnExpress International reports. Previous changes to the transportation system at the airport meant that ride-hailing services would only be able to pick up passengers on the third, fourth or fifth floors of the TCP-operated parking lot. Many passengers had to carry their luggage up to these floors, prior to the installation of the two extra elevators. Initially set to be completed in February, the elevator installation was finally complete in May. However, the elevators remain largely idle due to a COVID-19 outbreak in Vietnam, which has reduced the Tan Son Nhat flights from about 700 to just over 60 per day.
