Alimak Group Gets High Sustainability Rating From Ecovadis

Alimak Group, the Swedish provider of vertical-access solutions including rack-and-pinion elevator systems, received a gold rating from EcoVadis, a sustainability ratings provider that assesses companies’ performance in four areas: environment, labor/human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. The gold rating means Alimak scored high in all areas. Alimak said its use of renewable energy, product-lifecycle analysis, good working conditions, implementation of and adherence to a code of conduct, waste sorting, fossil-free heating and success in reducing CO2 emissions contributed to the honor. Alimak Group Managing Director Patrik Sundqvist said the achievement would not have been possible without “all the fantastic colleagues who have been working diligently to improve and implement sustainability in our operations.”
