The Adams County Board postponed approving the resolution for new elevators in the Adams County courthouse in Quincy, Illinois, WGEM News reports. The Elevator Modernization Phase II is covered by $13.3 million the county received through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), which is money given to counties and municipalities from the federal government as COVID-19 aid. The Transportation, Building and Technology committee will meet again on the project on August 10. The committee and board approved ARPA funds for the county’s network and system infrastructure upgrades.
