Camp Hill, in the center of Birmingham, U.K., is to receive at least one 26-story tower as part of a 4-acre plan by Eutopia Homes to bring 480 new residences, a hotel and commercial space, pbctoday reports. Designed by Darling Associates and funded by Chenavari Investment Managers, the development would cost GBP130 million (US$181 million) and include seven blocks of buildings ranging from three to 26 stories joined by walkways and landscaping. It was approved by the secretary of state following a 15-month wait since the Birmingham City Council planning officers recommended its approval. The tallest tower is to house 180 apartments, which will sit alongside a further 300 rental homes, including 12 four-bedroom townhouses.
