American Testing and Inspection Services (ATIS), a conveyance management company headquartered in St. Louis, has obtained a Department of Building (DoB) license for NYC, allowing ATIS to perform all required safety inspection and test-witnessing services in the city’s five boroughs. Prior to the September 1 announcement, ATIS offered only its compliance management and elevator and escalator consulting services in NYC, implementing proprietary software to track inspections, violations and affidavits of corrections. The recently obtained certification enables the company to manage the complete lifecycle of vertical-transportation equipment to “help NYC clients significantly improve elevator and escalator safety, compliance and performance, and handle all required filings within the DOB NOW: Build (online filing system),” ATIS states.
