ATTA Elevators USA Inc. announced on February 1 the opening of its Austin, Texas, office, further extending its market coverage and aligning with its ongoing “mission to become an industry leader in the U.S. elevator and escalator market.” Jon Anderson and Brian Mitchell have been appointed regional vice presidents to lead the expansion. Both have extensive vertical-transportation (VT) industry experience and deep ties to the Austin community. Anderson joined the VT industry as TK Elevator (TKE) International Union of Elevator Constructors apprentice in California, going on to hold service management positions with TKE in Austin for more than 10 years. Mitchell served as an operations manager for TKE in Austin for more than eight years, and has also held supervisory positions with TKE and Mitsubishi Electric. ATTA Elevators founder Mark Attanasio said ATTA identified the pair as “owners/operators who truly want to make a difference by taking care of their employees and empowering a strong employee culture.”
